Apartamento CastellSol 102, a 300 mts de la playa

"Go out of high season if you want to sleep
Positive: The apartment itself was great (save no air con). Short walk to beach and bars. Swimming pool was clean and a good size. Well kitted out.
Negative: The resort. It's a purpose built village so nothing but holiday apartments. It's really noisy at night. Singer/Karaoke until 1am (still going at 2.30 one night). Lights on all over as well. Too hot to shut windows. Too loud and bright not to. If you're into bars and late nights on holiday and just want that then it would be perfect.

No air con only fans which were a little rickerty and a little noisy. Air con would've solved the noise and light issues.

The welcome pack was weak considering it's an extra paid for cost. I had gone for it for the extra cover in case we broke anything but if I'd wanted a welcome pack I would have been disappointed. My mother comes to this resort out of high season and it's very quiet apparently"

Negative: El ruido nocturno, justo en frente hay dos restaurantes con karaokes y música en vivo.
Hasta la madrugada hay jaleo nocturno.
Y quiero recalcar que: no tiene aire acondicionado."

"Positive: Welcome package. Cleaning service during our stay. Very smooth contact with administrator. Amazing view. Well equipped kitchen. Comfortable beds. Washing machine. Sun umbrella. Clean pool. It would be nice to have 2 warm duvet for a cooler days in September (we had 1).
Negative: The very loud music until late hours from Pub51 in front of the apartment was very disrupting and we did not use our terrase in full during evenings because of loud music. This is not issues of Apartment which was really nice and comfortable but I think administrators should discuss this with Pub's owners."

"Great location & helpful management — but major issuesThe good: Fantastic central location in Arenal, close to shops, restaurants, bars and the beach. Elevated position with stunning bay views. Pool was clean and family-friendly. Property management team were excellent — communication was easy and they genuinely tried to help throughout.The bad: The apartment is very dated (35 years) with rotting cupboards and old fittings. Amenities were not as described — the “kitchen” had no cooker (just an exposed cavity with wires), only a hob and very old appliances. No Wi-Fi. Shower blocked after a few minutes, toilet barely flushed. Only one plug socket per bedroom in awkward spots. A noisy construction site is directly next door, starting early each day. Birds had nested where the extractor fan was, leaving debris on the hob. Most concerning, we saw rodents in the apartment on the final night and found droppings in the kitchen area — a serious health & safety issue, especially with children.Summary: Wonderful location and supportive management, but the property itself is in poor condition. The owner urgently needs to address hygiene, plumbing, electrics, and pests before this is suitable for rental.The property company did give me a partial refund for my issues."

"All Fantastic... villa.. places...beaches...the sea...eat..
Positive: Our apartment 102 has a fantastic view on the harbour!!... and, we have had a problem with the coffee machine, which has been fixed in the same day with a new one (hence excellent service.. thank you!)..and very appreciated the change of sheets and towels in mid-holiday.
Negative: The Check-In at 16:00 PM was a little bit late for us. However, we have been allowed by the villa manager to leave our luggages in the apartment even if it was not yet cleaned. Then, still thank you to the villa manager!!"
